When you have a meeting with the directors of a large company, or a couple who will celebrate a wedding for 300 guests, you should not dress or express yourself the same as when you are the cheerleader at a party or you are in disguise on stage at 3 in the morning.
That is why Raquel, the director and coordinator of PartyPlanet (everything is done in a small company) created Raquelisima, her alter ego.
Raquelisima is cheeky, a “show woman”, in the style of a Drag Queen, who with monologues, songs and interaction with the public turns events into authentic parties.
But Raquelisima is also the actress of comedy and shorts, the emotional and charismatic master of ceremonies at weddings and presentations or the child-friendly storyteller.
Raquel, the businesswoman, exists so that Raquelisima and so many artists with whom she collaborates can develop their projects.
He trained in animation and performing arts courses since 1989, in parallel to the development of his career and in different languages. It was in 1999, after a course for business women and already based in Ibiza, when she founded PartyPlanet.
In 2008, to get closer to his roots, he founded the Cádiz branch, since in Ibiza he already had several Andalusian collaborators who made it feasible.
“I work in such an incredible and nuanced world that I don’t think there is another profession like it. I have created shows and events for audiences of all ages and various nationalities. I have performed in China and in small towns in Spain. My colleagues range from acrobats who dance 15 meters high to the most delirious comedians or avant-garde stylists.
I would like to always be “Raquelisima”, so that I don’t have to deal with all the office work and promotion that I do as Raquel, but someone has to ensure that the characters exist through the agency. It is also enriching to be part of the assembly and that guarantees its quality.
It is not a cliché: nothing makes me happier than the smile of a couple on that day, the laughter of an audience delivered at a show, or the astonished face of a child telling a story.
PartyPlanet…a good planet to live on!
